The Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Dementia Care is designed for learners interested in or already working in roles that require knowledge of dementia care. This qualification equips learners with essential understanding to provide person-centred care in care homes, community care settings, and support roles for individuals.
Learners will gain insight into dementia awareness, effective communication strategies, medication management, and the importance of meaningful activities to enhance wellbeing. While this qualification does not confer competence in the workplace, it provides the underpinning knowledge required for those working in or progressing towards dementia care roles.
